Update: the Calculator and My Flourish Progress Worksheet now includes the number of rows in the practice piece and finished item. Part 5 has been added to the Calculator for the number for flower repeats.

Flourish is a relaxing and enjoyable pattern to crochet, and the added bonus is it’s easy to customise to different yarns or to make different sizes.

what’s needed

practice piece – crocheted and blocked (follow the instructions here)
ruler or tape measure
scales – kitchen scales are ideal for this
weight of a skein / ball of yarn (found on the yarn tag or website)

handy hints

be aware of the units of measurement used in the calculator (shown in brackets, do a google search if you need to convert them ie search for “in to cm”)
the length is measured along the row, and the height is the measurement of the height of all the rows
don’t skip blocking the practice piece as this will change the finished sizes
