Add a textured row to the edge of the petals:

start by putting the hook under the V of the first petal stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop
slip stitch across the tops of the petal stitches, putting the hook under the V of each stitch
end by cutting the yarn, pulling up the loop and then sewing in the ends on the back
