Pansy Granny Square

It is always a welcome sight when the pansies start showing their delicate faces.

It’s a sign that the cold winter is transforming into spring and bringing with it a spectacular transformation of colour and life.  At this time of year, I always feel that the pansies are whispering to me that there are better times ahead. That it is time to embrace unknown possibilities and dream sweet dreams. 

The Pansy Granny Square Block is all about the possibility of better times. The dark centre of the pansy is framed by slightly lighter petals, and it all sits in a soothing bed of naturally coloured yarn.
