size
Each flag is 16cm (6.3in) across the top and 16cm (6.3in) from top to bottom (after blocking and before joining).
12 flags joined together is 1.9m (6.3ft) long, plus the string for hanging on each end.
how to make a different size
Adjusting the size of the Party Bunting is easy. Here are a few different ways to do it:
- make the flags bigger or smaller: do more or less rows, or use a different sized yarn and crochet hook
- make the bunting longer or shorter: change the number of flags that are joined together
gauge / tension (after blocking)
- 10ply: 15 stitches and 9 rows in 10cm (4in)
- 4ply: 24 stitches and 16 rows in 10cm (4in)
The gauge / tension isn’t critical in this pattern. If the stitches are a different size to the pattern, then the bunting will be a different size and will use a different amount of yarn.
